New Year And A New Room For Middle Man

Middle man is fast approaching 5 and was getting too big for his toddler bed. It was time to get him a new bed and some bigger boy accessories. I knew from the start that he would like a midsleeper. I decided that I wanted to make a den area underneath the bed which he could play in with his brothers.
Here is his room before the make over.

Looking through the George Home site, I loved their range of Superhero accessories. Whilst you could choose one design, I felt that a mix and match option would work well. I made a mood board of the things that we would need.

Middle man absolutely loves his reversible Spider-Man duvet set. Mummy on the other hand spent far too long thinking that they had incorrectly printed the wording on the pillow. Um no, Spidey can hang upside down!

In his den area, I chose a Spiderman bean bag to sit and read stories on and a superhero fleece to cuddle up in. A large red storage box helps hide away some of his toys.

Middle man really wanted a clock in his room and although it does tick quite loudly this marvel clock is exactly what he wanted. The TMNT night light is fantastic as it provides light for 15 minutes before switching itself off.

So here are our after pictures. I liked being able to get a good range of accessories from one place, meaning that his room was transformed without any decorating. The only thing I would mention is that products sell out fast on the George Home site. I chose my products, went to do some measuring and by the next morning about 5 of my choices had sold out. If you see something you like, don't hesitate.

Middle man is really happy with his new room, what do you think?

George Home provided us with the above accessories to make over middle man's room, but the opinions contained here are my own.

It looks brilliant! I love the fact that he has a den, which is exciting for him, as well as being a great use of space. My daughter would so love that night lamp!

Awesome ideas. Looks fab. We swear by George/asda stuff. Only had one bad experience of a sofa being poor quality but everything else is brilliant.

My sister bought us some of their stuff last year - it isn't somewhere I would have considered until then. Really pleased with it though.

I like the den. You can get curtains to hide whats under there but I thought making it a feature would be more fun x

I think I'll need a den for my daughter when she switches to a bed. I love the theme, particularly the Batman rug and American flag pillow. I might have to get those for myself.

The room looks great, & think it's a great idea that the themes have been kept to duvets, rug etc - I know from previous experience that themed wallpaper and curtains can be a costly item that could look out of place in a year or too when their tastes in "heroes" changes
