Bunny Butt Cake Tutorial

Bunny Butt Cake Tutorial

Looking for a super simple cake to make for Easter then this Bunny Butt cake is for you. Whilst browsing Pinterest I came across the idea and showed my boys. Surprise surprise they wanted me to make one. As it is my Father in Law's Birthday, I agreed. I have to say it is one of the easiest cakes I have made.

For the cake:

A small spring form cake tin 12cm diameter
4oz self raising flour
4oz caster sugar
4oz butter
2 eggs

To decorate:

Half a tub of Betty Crockers Frosting - I used vanilla
2 packets of white chocolate fingers
1 packet of mini eggs
A Tunnock's Tea Cake
A Marshmallow
Brown and Pink icing
Sprinkles

I started by baking the cake using a simple sponge recipe.

Once cooled I sandwiched the cake together with the vanilla frosting. I then added frosting to the sides and stuck on the white chocolate fingers.

I tied a piece of paper rope around the fingers but ribbon would also look nice.

I then made the bunny butt. I used a Tunnock's Tea Cake with half a marshmallow on top for the rabbits tail. I then made feet shapes with the icing.

I piped the frosting onto the cake to ensure that it looked tidy at the edges.

I placed the butt in the middle of the cake and then added mini eggs around the side. I finished the cake off by adding sprinkles around the rabbit.

So there you go, super simple and perfect for Easter. Now I must really go and find some healthy recipes on Pinterest instead!

It is so easy. The hardest part is baking the sponge. Good Luck!

This looks amazing! The little bunny bum is so funny. I know I would completely mess it up, however simple it is, so I'm avoiding showing this one to my kids!
