A Strong Coffee: Strawberry and Mozzarella Salad with Due Vittorie

Strawberry and Mozzarella Salad with Due Vittorie

Strawberry and mozzarella salad

Due Vittorie Balsamic Vinegar is now in the UK. I have to say that it is the best balsamic vinegar I have tasted. The Tradizionale is a foodies treat. At £49.99 for 100ml it is for special occasions and comes in a presentation box with a booklet containing some recipe ideas. Don't worry though, the Oro is for everyday use (retailing at £9.99) and it is rich, sweet and viscous.

Due Vittorie balsamic vinegar

With summer approaching, I decided to use the Oro in a tasty salad.

All you need is

Spinach and Rocket leaves
Due Vittorie Oro Balsamic vinegar
Olive Oil
Strawberries
Red onion
Pumpkin seeds
Mozzarella
Salt

Take the stalks off the strawberries and cut in half. Thinly slice the red onion.

strawberries

Slice the mozzarella and add a little salt.

Mix two teaspoons of the Due Vittorie Oro with one teaspoon of the olive oil.

mozerella

Drizzle this over the salad leaves.

Add the sliced strawberries, onion, pumpkin seeds and mozzarella. Drizzle over any remaining vinaigrette.

I was really impressed with the Due Vittorie Oro. Although it is more expesive than I would normally buy, I would consider purchasing it in the future. I carried out a taste test on my husband to see if he could tell the difference between the Oro and Tradizionale. He could, but due to the price I think this is only something a real foodie would purchase. Both of the balsamic vinegars can be purchased from Ocado.

Due Vittorie have kindly offered a bottle of the Oro to one of my readers. Just complete the rafflecopter below. Good Luck!
