I am pleased to say that travel has changed a lot since I was young. Anything to make the experience more comfortable and entertaining for young travelers gets my support. The Dutch airline KLM has a new plane called Bluey that should keep little ones entertained. Bluey The Movie will be shown on the special KLM You Tube channel on-board all intercontinental KLM flights from June 2015.

Bluey The Movie is the first in a series of animation films about the little aircraft. In the first film, Bluey, his father and his friend Windy have a fun and exciting adventure at the annual Zundert flower parade and you can watch it here.



The character Bluey was launched by KLM last November especially for young children travelling. Since then, the little plane has become extremely popular. You can purchase several Bluey products, ranging from keycords, trolleys and card games, to a fun Bluey meal box for children on international flights. We have found that breaking up the flight with a meal is always a good idea with our boys and I am sure that little man would love this themed box if he had been watching the film onboard.

KLM also have a newly renovated Junior Jet Lounge at Schipol airport in Holland. This is for children travelling unaccompanied. The play area in lounge 2 will soon be incorporating the lovable plane Bluey.

Bluey aims to make travelling with KLM a pleasant experience for both parents and children. What do you think of this new character? Do you have little ones that would like this?
