At the beginning of the year I set myself some resolutions. I am usually pretty rubbish at these things, so I have decided to look back at them now whilst there is still a few months left to put them right. I managed to get my husband and I'm getting more organised on a weekly basis. My prediction for middle man enjoying more baking was correct and he couldn't have been happier when I bought a mini muffin pan and "dobber" for him at a Pampered Chef party recently.
One thing I am annoyed with myself for is the maintaining weight resolution. I haven't and to make it worse I've put on half a stone. So I am working on this one at the moment. My biggest problem is snacking when I am tired. I have tried to remove all bad things to eat in the house and buy things with raisins in for the boys. On a really bad day I will just pick out the raisins, but I am going to try and be strong! I am managing to get to the gym 3 times a week and have even started running. I may well look like Phoebe from Friends, but I am now up to a whole 20 mins at a pretty slow pace. Apologies to all the runners out there, but this is pretty good for me! I also have a goal. I have a girl's Christmas dinner booked for 20th December. We refer to ourselves as the Yummy Mummies and I hope I will do this title justice. More importantly I will be rewarding myself with a nice new evening dress. I'm thinking of a black number but maybe I'll be a bit bolder with a few pounds lost. Week one and I've lost 2lbs so let's hope for the same next week too.
How are you doing with your new year resolutions? Have you got your eye on a nice new dress for the party season?

ReplyDeletehmm - only stuck to one of mine, I'm rubbish!
ReplyDeleteOoh well done you! I'm so great at resolutions but not so great at sticking to them :( I was thinking of writing a follow up to mine later this month so thanks for the reminder x
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about not keeping your weight resolution - you are not the only one to not keep them! I don't make them anymore as my track record is the pits lol!
ReplyDeleteits never worked for me or anyone i know so dont stress about it.
ReplyDeleteI don't usually make New Year's resolutions as they never work and I find myself stressing at how much I fail. Instead I wait until a couple of months in and make slow changes that way.
ReplyDeleteI never make New Years resolutions any more. I never stuck to them so there's no point.
ReplyDeletegood luck with this year's resolutions! i always write a list of 10 things to achieve each year and then continue ticking them off once completed - it can be a lot of fun! i have managed 7/9 this year so far!
ReplyDeleteThat is good going. Have some ideas for next year already
ReplyDeleteWishing I hadn't done the weight one!
ReplyDeleteGood idea
ReplyDeleteI really want to be a healthy weight so am going to try in the next few weeks
ReplyDeleteI never stick to them so gave up making them
ReplyDeleteworth a try making them though!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the weightloss
ReplyDeleteI never stick to mine!
ReplyDeleteI tend not to make a new years resolution I'm quite stubborn so if I know I have to do something I but actually have a choice in it I wont do it
ReplyDeleteI always keep mine...I figured a long time ago that it's a time to change things in life that you maybe don't like but, like many people, I'm fairly rubbish at sticking to these things. Step up the alternative resolutions...mine last year was to never make hedgehog jam. Funny thing is I've managed to stick to it!
ReplyDeletemy resolutions never last pass Janauary unfortunately I've got not willpower, however I'll still make on again this year, you never know might make Februaury
ReplyDeleteI get to the end of January and, and I've forgotten. I always make resolutions and never stick to them.

ReplyDeleteI don't make them any more after years of making the same ones and failing each time :)
