Every Christmas when I was little girl we made Rum truffles. I absolutely loved them and decided that I would have a go at some Baileys ones. Oh my they are good! The recipe is simple and you could add any flavour to suit your palette.
To make the Baileys truffles you will need:
200g milk chocolate
120ml double cream
2tbsp Baileys
1/2 tbsp butter
To decorate:
cocoa powder
chocolate vermicelli
Break the chocolate up into pieces and melt in the microwave, Check every 20s and give it a stir.
Heat the cream in a saucepan and whisk occasionally until boiling. Then mix into the melted chocolate. Stir in the butter and Bailey's. Allow to cool before placing in the fridge for 3 hours.
Trust me it is worth the wait!
Pour cocoa powder and chocolate vermicelli onto a plate.
Roll a teaspoon on the ganache mixture into a ball and cover in the cocoa and vermicelli ,
Put back into the fridge to chill. Then enjoy!
