My garlic crusher. It was a wedding present 38 years ago and has been in daily use ever since. Over the years I've seen constant complaints from people about how useless garlic crushers are, yet our solid little workhorse keeps on going, pressing out a lovely smoothly crushed puree every time!

My favourite kitchen gadget is my slow cooker - can make some lovely meals using it.
It's a little 'belt' type adjustable gadget for undoing tight jars and bottles of various sizes. I bought it years ago from a TV shopping channel. I have arthritis in my hands and, for me, it's much easier than those plastic jar openers. Over the years it has travelled abroad with us on holidays to self-catering apartments - it even helped with an unfriendly tight tap!
My very old hand blender that has given many years of service! It's the only way I can successfully make mayonnaise.
