Our Degustabox for June arrived and I was happy as it contained chocolate, popcorn and cake decorations. Here is what I thought of the items in this month's box:
ZEO: These soft drinks were nice and refreshing as they weren't overly sweet. Something to look out for in a cafe.
Frank: This Blueberry and chocolate snack bar wasn't my cup of tea, but I don't like dried fruit. The boys happily ate it.
Portlebay Popcorn: Bacon and Maple Syrup Popcorn. Sounds so wrong but tastes so good! Chilli and lime wasn't my favourite but overall I was impressed with these bags of popcorn.
Maggi: I haven't tried all of these yet, but I do find that they make mealtimes simple. I am really looking forward to trying the beef and ale casserole.
Dr. Oetker: Two new edible decorations. My favourite were the eton mess decorations and there was a cupcake recipe included too.
Hornsby's: Blueberry Cider tastes a bit like cider and black to me.
The Berry Company: This was the suprise of the box. I wasn't expecting to like this but it was a lovely and refreshing drink.
Green and Black's: I LOVE Green and Black's chocolate. This was no exception. Dark Chocolate with a hit of lemon - fantastic!
If you would like to try a Degustabox for yourself they have provided my readers with a discount code:ULWG6 meaning you will be a £3 saving off of your first box. That means you will get a surprise box delivered for just £9.99
Mix 4oz butter, 2oz caster sugar, 6oz plain flour and a tea spoon of lemon flavouring. Roll out and cut into shapes.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown at 190C. Allow to cool.
Then melt half a bar of Green and Black's Lemon bar and drizzle over the biscuits.
Enjoy with a cup of tea or a strong coffee.
