Weekend Box Review

weekend box

Weekend Box is a fortnightly box of children's activities aimed at 3-8 year olds that fits through your letter box. Each box contains something to EAT, something to MAKE,something GREEN and something to EXPLORE.

Each activity card explains what you need to do and the accompanying paper bag contains the things you need for the activity.

weekend box contents

EXPLORE: Our first activity was sand art.The design was a little small but big man managed OK and enjoyed this as an after school activity.

EAT: Next up was making potato skin boats. The "secret ingredient" being some mixed herbs. Big man enjoyed doing this and even more surprisingly ate it. He is pretty fussy and I was sure he wouldn't like the herbs but he proved me wrong.

MAKE: Here we made 3D glasses and then used them to look at the pictures on the activity sheets.

GREEN: Here we made a birdfeeder out of lollipop sticks. It was a nice idea but in the weather we have had recently it got blown around and the food had fallen on the floor before any birds got to it! One to try again when it is less windy.

The weekend box retails at £7.50 including delivery. I would recommend it if you aren't a particularly crafty person and would like some step by step activities to do with your children.
Readers of my blog are able to get their first box for only £3.75 including delivery by entering the discount code COFFEE although there have been some free delivery codes around so if I were you I would do a quick search first.

We were sent the box for the purpose of this review but the opinions here are my own
