It is not often that I can get my boys crafting with pretty pinks and purples, but as it is Valentine's on the way and they love their Mummy we have been making some Valentine themed flowers and butterflies. We started with some pink and purple foam and cut out some heart shapes. I then cut the inside out and added sticky backed plastic to one side. The boys then used scrunched up tissue and sequins to decorate the hearts. We then added more sticky backed plastic. I then made stems using twisted pipe cleaners and put them in a vase with some shredded tissue.


The butterflies followed the same idea, but making heart shaped wings. I then got a lollipop that I threaded to made the head and pipe cleaners for the antennae. Middle man particularly liked making this as it involved a lollipop and he will be even happier when it come to Valentines day and his butterfly comes to visit him.
