We stopped off and saw the shop that Nanny worked in part time.
We walked down by the river where I have many happy memories of feeding the ducks as a child.
I then got a bit annoyed when the boys took the higher path and excitedly shouted that they were higher than me.
I then smiled as I remembered that my sister and I used to do exactly the same thing.
It must be great for your kids to see the places you used to enjoy...what a lovely day you must have had!
ReplyDeleteI remember feeding the ducks as a child too. Good memories, and such a simple activity! #CountryKids

It's great to revisit places that have treasured memories and be able to share them with our children. It looks very picturesque and a great place to explore down by the river. Thanks for linking up and sharing your memories with Country Kids.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely walk down memory lane, it must have been so lovely to revisit and to tell stories. I love that your boys did as you did on the path :) #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to be able to take your boys to the same places you visited. I can't wait to do that with my two, although I imagine it won't quite be the same as I remember!
ReplyDeletethat's so lovely. I love to show the kids where i grew up too. x
ReplyDeleteI love the cottage in the last photo - I would love to have a house like that eventually! :) The bit about you and your sister doing things made me laugh too x
