I love the idea of getting crafty with the children at Christmas. I am less keen on a complete mess being made. I have tried footprint reindeer's before, but this year I opted for the mess free version of drawing onto foam instead.
Middle man loved having his foot drawn around for the head and hands for the antlers. He then added the googly eyes, red pompom nose and a pipe cleaner smile. (It was an unhappy reindeer to start with but I managed to persuade him that Rudolph would smile after helping Santa with his sleigh!)
We then had a go at a Christmas tree too. This was made up of all the boys hands. Big man's at the bottom, middle man's in the middle and then little man's at the top. Big man then decorated the the trees with a variety of materials that came in our Craft Planet craft packs.
We were given the craft packs from One Stop Craft Shop. I have seen these packs before but never purchased them as I always thought it was a bit of a gamble as you can't really tell what is in them. However, I was really impressed with the contents and it is much cheaper than buying the items individually. Infact the prices at One Stop Craft Shop are even lower than the RRP making it even better value. They also sell lots of card making and scrapbooking products too.
Have you made any good Christmas decorations with the children this year? What minimal mess making crafts can you recommend?
I was given two craft packs for the purpose of this post but the opinions contained here are my own.
