Parragon Book Buddies gave us something different to review this month. An e book which you can get from itunes here.
Now I need to start this review by saying that I am not up with the times when it comes to e books. I do not own a kindle. I still like to hold a book. Luckily big man is more open to new ideas than me and wasn't at all phased by the book being on my phone. There were still pictures he could look at and the story, though longer than his usual books, kept his attention. I would say that this book would suit a slightly older child, maybe around eight, purely due to the length of the book. The story revolves around a boy who travels back in time with his Mum and Dad. Things go wrong and he ends up back home without his parents and with a broken time machine and a baby T-Rex.
So did I like an e book? Yes and no. I still really like paper books and I think it is important to have these, but I do think that e books are a great idea too. I liked the fact that I always knew where the book was, and that it had my page bookmarked for me. I liked the fact that it was stored in my phone. I am a hoarder so I hate getting rid of books, but if it's in a bookshelf in my phone then I don't need to worry. I also like that the other books in the series are only 99p so are inexpensive too.
All in all we enjoyed the story and I am pretty sure that it wont be the last e book that we have.
We were given a code to get the e book free of charge for the purpose of this review, but the opinions are my own.

I prefer ebooks now over hard copies of books - The space saved is incredible and an ebook on a phone / kindle etc is easy to carry around with you.
I love my kindle, never thought I would prefer ebooks over normal books.
There is no doubt in my mind, its e reader all the way for me
i think my boys would like this book
My two boys prefer reading ebooks which made me a bit sad initially but as long as they are reading and enjoying it, I don't mind. E readers aren't as good for books with lots of illustrations though.
I'm getting this for my little brother now! :)
You feel the same as I do with the pros & cons of e-books!
