The Gallery: Through the eyes of my phone
I take pictures of my boys, the odd pretty flower, and if I'm out and about in a shop and see a toy that I think the boy's might like, I snap a photo. I can then bring it home to show my husband so that he can tell me that they don't need anymore toys. I also take the odd selfie. Most of which I never upload to twitter, facebook or instagram because I look awful. I mainly do it to pass some time and see what I look like. Yes I know there is an old fashioned thing called a mirror that I could use, but with instagram you can play with filters in a hope it will make you look slightly better.
It is with regret that the last selfie I took is photo (and yes I have cropped it and used a filter in a effort to make it look better!)
Last year, my brother and sister in law likened me to Sarah Millican. I wasn't that overjoyed because as lovely as Sarah is, I would have rather been likened to a 20 year old model. (I know, I know it was never going to happen was it?) So on Friday when she was on the TV I took a photo of myself next to Sarah. The conclusion? If I straighten my hair and have an inch cut off, I may have a career as a celebrity double!
So who do you look like, or who do people say you look like? Are you in need of a Sarah Millican look a like in the Berkshire area? I'm afraid to say I can't do a Geordie accent and I'm not that funny.

The likeness is uncanny! That's so funny. I've never been mistaken for anyone famous.

lol great photo - be a great job as a celebrity double! I have been likened to Rennee Zellwegger (as Bridget Jones) and Kim WIlde (in her slightly younger days!). I think everyone looks a bit like someone famous which is quite spooky. xx

Brilliant photo! You do look rather like her! She's nice and she's funny, so being compared to her sounds fine to me!

A little unflattering! I look terrible! Poor Sarah Millican would be offended to think we looked similar in that photo.

Totally loving your take on the theme! Maybe that right there is a new feature: photograph yourself infront of your celebrity doppelgänger!

We watch Sarah on Friday night too, & the exact comment Rob said was "Doesn't Louise Fairweather look like her" I told him never to say that in front of you but as you've brought it up............Not sure I look like anyone famous, but have been likened to a back end of a bus. xxx

You do look quite similar!!

I wonder who people compare me too "/ x -

Awww thanks. I find that if I have had 2 glasses of wine I think that I am as funny as her - when actually people are just laughing at me

I think the photo of Sarah that my brother and sister in law were referring about was on a bus - hopefully just the side!

Ah, I love this, and yeah, if you squint with one eye, and don't look out the other, you do kinda look like Sarah Millican!

There's definitely a resemblance there! When I was younger people always told me I looked like Bjork, I even got into clubs for free because of it.

Haha - yes, I can see it! I hate photos of myself, too, but you can at least have that career as a double -)

Great post! You can sort of see the similarity although I do think you look younger and slimmer. I've been likened to the cartoon of Emma Frost(!) and Elizabeth Shue - for some reason!! Thanks for linking to PoCoLo x

Definitely a similarity. It's rare to be able to get such a good comparison.

I wasn't impressed when a former housemate (we were all at the pub for a night out at the time!) reckoned I looked like Barbra Streisand. Hopefully when she was younger although I can't see it myself -

I can see the similarity. I was likened to Gail Porter once lol

Lovely photo! Linking up with the #photogallery x
ReplyDeleteHa ha, love it! I was watching her the other night and thought exactly the same....only you're better looking (shhh, don't tell sarah!). I've regularly been stopped in the street to be told I look like Sandra Bullock - now that made me happy! I mentioned it to my kids the other day who thought the idea was simply ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteYou do look like Sandra - can you play music on wine glasses as your party trick?
DeleteThat's great! Maybe a little unflattering, but funny!!! great take on the theme and good to find your blog!
