Vistaprint Photo Book Review

leather photo book

Before I had 3 gorgeous boys, I was a crafty person. I still am at heart, but don't have the time at the moment. I have always loved scrapbooking, so when I was asked to review a photo book by Vistaprint, I saw it as the chance to make an online one. As Father's Day is on it's way too, I thought I'd make one from the boys to their Daddy. I have never made a photo book before, but have received one as a gift.

I chose a large book and used the online editor. It was simple to use and there was
a choice of background papers. Big man chose a heart in the snow to be the background to his message to Daddy.

I decided to add a few of my favourite blog posts of the boys accompanied by some pictures.

For my holiday blog post I was able to use a sand background.

As I was reviewing the product, I chose all the added extras, that I wouldn't normally go for. This was to see if I thought they are actually worth purchasing or not.

First was a leather cover at £4.99. Yes it's nice, but on a photo book for Daddy I would go for a free picture cover in the future. However, if it was a book for another reason I may opt for this.

Laser etching cost an additional £3.49. I really don't see the point of this one. You can hardly see it. The picture on their website shows it as gold but apparently that's just because it's on brown leather. I wouldn't have that one again.

Lastly is glossy paper at an additional £6.99. I don't know what their usual paper is like so it is hard to compare. However, the pages are thick, glossy and high quality. I would definitely go for this one!

The cost of the book would have been £42.88

If I had gone for a free cover without etching that would bring it down to a more reasonable £34.40 including 2 additional pages, glossy paper and delivery. I think that it a fantastic price for what you are receiving.

You could go cheaper still without the glossy paper but as I've said, I think it's worth the extra money.

They are currently on offer too, making it even cheaper! So if you fancy making your own book, head over to the Vistaprint website.

I was given the photo book for the purpose of this review but the opinions contained here are my own.
