We are a bit of a competitive household so I thought I would hold a little competition to decide which smoothie was best.
Middle man went first using one pot of mango and passion fruit Actimel, a banana, a handful of grapes and a couple of strawberries. It was nice but the main taste was banana. Middle man liked it and I gave it a 3/5.
Big man was very excited about chopping the fruit very small. He chose to make one using mango, strawberries, half an apple and a passion fruit.
I preferred it to middle man's and gave it a 4/5. After all that hard work chopping they got to sit down and enjoy their drinks whilst I worked on my winning smoothie.
I decided to use 1 pot of Actimel, some frozen raspberries, a few chunks of mango, a passion fruit and a couple of strawberries. Yep mine was very good. I gave it 41/2 out of 5.
Daddy came home and the kids were very excited to tell him about their smoothie making. He was very excited about having a go himself. He basically used our leftovers. Some frozen raspberries, mango, strawberries and grapes. Nooooooooo - his was the best by far! 5/5
The great thing about smoothies is they generally taste pretty good no matter what fruit you use. It is also a great way of getting fruit into little ones. The boys loved it and I have since bought more Actimel of varying flavours so we can make some more. If you fancy trying some Actimel recipes click here - I had never thought of using it as an ingredient before, but think I may have to try a few of these.
We were given the Actimel, smoothie maker and some fruit so that we could write this post, but the opinions contained here are my own.
What a fab idea, we always have a fridge full of Actimel as my youngest son is crazy about them!
