The Smartest Giant in Town Giveaway


This Thursday, the 7th March, is World Book Day. This is the day that can often fill parents with dread. Nurseries, pre schools and schools across the country often celebrate the day by allowing their pupils to come dressed as their favourite story book character  Luckily this year, I have got away with not having to think up a costume for big man. *Breathes huge sigh of relief* Instead the school are organising a book swap. I am sure big man will come home with the strangest book imaginable, but it's nice that they can pick a book for themselves.

I have always encouraged the boys to love books. When they were weeks old they had soft books to feel, then board books, buggy books, books for the bath. I love that big man is now starting to read by himself. I love that each night, the boys chose a story book to read. In the case of middle man - it is 2 or 3! In my teaching days, it upset me that there were children reaching secondary school barely able to read and write. I love the fact that Daddy does story time when he is home. As I have boys, I have read that it is important that they have a male role model who enjoys reading.
