Big Questions From Little People Review

Last week I told you that I was really excited about a book that was being sent to me to review. Well it finally arrived and I am pleased to say it is great! The idea behind the book is for it to aid adults in answering their little ones questions. Therefore it tackles a large range of questions from "What are rainbows made of?" to "Why do I always fight with my brother and sister?" Guess which one of those questions I looked up the answer to straight away!

The question "Why do monkeys like bananas?" is answered by Daniel Simmonds who is a zoo keeper at ZSL London Zoo. Quite frankly I am unsure if he has been observing monkeys or middle man. If you substitute the words middle man in place of monkeys in his answer, he basically sums up my little man. If middle man was a monkey he would be classed as a greedy one as he has been known to eat the skin of bananas!

Infact, all the questions are answered by experts in their fields. Dr Chritian Jessen answers a question on blood, Lorainne Pascale on why cakes taste nice and Bear Grylls on whether it is OK to eat a worm. I fear I will need to refer to the later answer sooner rather than later with a house full of boys.

At the end of the book there are some comedians answers to the same questions. These are amusing but in my opinion don't really need to be there.

I really like the book and found myself discussing the use of an elephants trunk with my husband last night. I never realised it could be used like a snorkel! So not only will it help me answer the boys' questions, I might stand a better chance of winning a pub quiz in the future.

I was given a copy of the book for the purpose of the review, but the opinions contained here are my own.
