I was excited when I saw the Parragon books stand at BritMum's Live. One of baby man's favourite books is Hickory Dickory Dock. He just loves the mouse puppet. I was therefore more than happy to review a couple of books for them.
First up is Ring a-Ring o' Roses. It is a sound board book for younger children.
I must admit that when it comes to noisy books I tend to avoid them as they can get annoying. This is probably why middle man and baby man have played with it so much. The buttons play the nursery rhyme along with a sneezing elephant, rabbit and a laughing bear. They light up too which I imagine is great for a little baby. As noisy books go, the music isn't too annoying, the pitch is just right, and I think it would make a lovely gift for a new baby.
Next was a book which I got big man to help me review. Things you never knew about dinosaurs is a colourful rhyming book with lovely illustrations. I am definately with the dinosaurs on disliking queueing for toilets.
It is a fun book, similar in style to the Aliens Love Underpants series. We reviewed an advance US copy, but the UK edition will be published and is just the thing for any little dinosaur lovers.
Big man's verdict : It's quite good it is. I give it 4/5. (Which I was pleased with as I would give it this too!)
We were given these books to enable us to review them but the opinions here are my own and those of big man.
